Trust

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (KJV)

Trusting in God can be one of the hardest things sometimes. Yet, that is what we are called to do. It is a key aspect of faith. There are times when circumstances may cause us to question everything we know about God. Other times, it may cause us to ask when, why, or how long? We may feel alone or restless. It may even seem as if God does not care but He really does. I have realized in such challenging moments is when the Lord is close to us more than ever. All we have to do is take our eyes off the chaos around us and look to Him. His Word says, He will never leave us nor forsake us.    God never fails. We may not always understand everything we experience but God knows it is for our good. His ways are better and higher. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Life is not always perfect. Situations may not go the way we expect. Through every hill and valley, God is with us. He will never leave our side. He is ever guiding and directing our paths. I cannot think of anything more comforting.
So the next time you feel overwhelmed or maybe you are in a challenging situation right now; just take a deep breath and look to the sky. Know the Lord is with you. Give your troubles to Him and trust that He will work it out for your good.

  1. The more we trust God, the more peace we obtain. It is such a wonderful thing to know God is still in control. His loving kindness, grace, and mercy never ends. So far this has been a very special week for me. Today is my mother's birthday. This post is in honor of her. She is the strongest woman I know. I truly give God all the glory and praise for her. She has overcome two consecutive strokes this year. I am in awe. I thank God. I am a witness. Not only because of what He has done for me but also because He has blessed me to witness the mighty power of His unfailing love for others. Nothing can stop the hand of God. I am truly, truly amazed. I know there is more to come.

My dear brothers and sisters do not fret. Whatever you are experiencing, please know God is right there with you. He sees, He knows, He loves, and He really does care. Sometimes you may not feel it but I ask you to hold on to Him. Do not give up, do not lose hope. No one ever said faith is easy but it does make things possible. Nothing is impossible with God, absolutely nothing. Right before your breakthrough is when circumstances become the hardest. Know that help is on the way. Keep praying, keep seeking, keep trusting, and most of all keep believing.

    Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV)

    Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (KJV)
